Contradictions

It’s raining, and the sun is shinning too,
Quietly a rainbow comes out from a window,
Filling the sky in myriad hues,
Bowing at nature’s rule.

-*-

A bullet hit him hard,
In pain, he looks at the sky,
Back home his family is waiting,
A war hero or a lost son?

-*-

Celebrating their 25th anniversary,
Both of them have one question,
Was it togetherness or a compromise?
Answer still lies in oblivion.

-*-

He runs away from the crowd,
Wishing to be alone,
And here he is,
Walking with the crowd,
Feeling so lonely.

-*-

So many contradictions around us,
Fail to go unnoticed,
A fragile bond we share with life,
Weaves various layers all this while,
Trapped in these confusions,
We carry on with a life of contradictions.
